Privacy Policy

Fluid Balance · Effective 19 August 2026

Fluid Balance does not collect your data. There is no server to send it to, no account to create, and no third-party code inside the app.

What the app stores

Everything you enter: times, volumes, entry type (intake or output), optional notes, the optional name you put on an exported report, and your settings.

All of it is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud, it is also stored in your own private iCloud database, which is tied to your Apple Account. The developer has no access to that database and no way to read it.

The home-screen widget and the Apple Watch app show the same data. It moves only between your own devices — the widget reads the shared storage on your iPhone, and the watch talks to the phone over Apple's device-to-device connection. No server is involved.

What the app does not do

The app has no network code that sends your entries anywhere. iCloud synchronisation, when enabled, happens between your own devices through Apple's infrastructure and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Reminders

The optional daily reminder is off by default. If you turn it on, the notification is scheduled locally on your device — there are no push notifications and no server behind them. Its text never names what the app is about, so it reveals nothing on a locked screen.

Purchases

The in-app purchase is processed entirely by Apple. The app receives only a yes-or-no answer about whether the purchase is active. It never sees your name, payment method, card details, or billing address.

Your control over the data

You can delete everything from Settings inside the app in a single step. That removes the data from the device and, when iCloud is enabled, from your iCloud database. Deleting the app removes local data; if you used iCloud, delete the data from within the app first, or manage it in your device's iCloud settings.

You can export your full history to CSV at any time, without restriction.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date. Because no data is collected, no change can retroactively affect information already gathered — there is none.
